Tsurumi liquid ring compressor is widely used in China and World. Tsurumi has designed and made the biggest liquid ring compressor in the world, its capacity exceeded 10,000Nm3/h(820KW motor) at the middle discharge pressure. The biggest liquid ring compressor (equipped 570KW Motor) in China installed in Henan shenma Nylon 66 project, was supplied by Tsurumi, too. It has been operated safely and reliably nearly 10 years, no spare parts, included mechanical seal, had been replaced since running. Operating Principle


As shown in the Figure, when the pump is filled with sealing liquid and the impeller set and rotated in eccentric position relative to the pump casing, the sealing liquid flows along the inside wall of casing by the centrifugal force and the sealing liquid circulating flow is made and then the crescent cavity is caused in the inside. If the suction port is located at the position where this crescent  cavity  expands  with rotation, the gas is sucked and flows through the crescent cavity with the impeller and then is shut in the independent chamber surrounded by two vanes of the impeller, casing and the inside face of sealing liquid circulating flow. This cavity becomes smaller, since the inside face of sealing liquid circulating flow gradually approaches the boss of the vanes of the impeller, as it rotates, and compresses the gas in the inside. Therefore, if the discharge port is located where the pressure in the cavity reaches the required one, the compressed gas will be exhausted. Namely, the liquid ring type pump can be called a compressor, improved to a rotary and continuous type from the reciprocating one by replacing the piston with sealing liquid. Further, as the phase boundary of the gas and the liquid is out of order, on the discharge side the splash is always flown away with the compressed nas. Therefore, it must be made up.

ANC liquid ring compressor
Operating Principle
As shown in the figure, pump casing is of oval shape and houses impeller of multiple blades bent into rotary direction.When impeller is set to rotate, the fluid inside the casing is pressed to internal walls by centrifugal force to create oval film. Therefore, the space is caused above and below air passage, and the gap between 2 blades acting as cylinder, and fluid as piston, operate themselves up and down inside the blades to perform operation just like a reciprocating pump. That is to say, gas entering from "INLET" is separated into 2 courses of upward and downward, as indicated by the dotted line ( ........ ), then through the port of "IN" on the air passage, goes into the blades where, following the impeller rotations, it moves, gets expanded and pressed then, through the port of "OUT" returns back into air passage and at the "OUTLET", the gasses from upper and lower courses meet together to be discharged. In one rotation of impeller, the gas is inhaled and compressed twice, so ANC compressor is double action compressor.
