NOX recovery applications are employed in plants for caprolactam, explosives, nitrogen, fertilizers and other secondary products as adipic acid. When handling NOX, Tsurumi  liquid ring compressors use a solution of water and nitric acid(HNO3) at 30%-50% concentration, resulting from the water used as service liquid in closed loop entering in contact with nitrogen oxides. Therefore, the entire system is executed in stainless steel 304L,which has proved to be the most resistant to corrosion in this service.
